Behind the Scenes: Pornstar Dancin' by My Darkest Days

Being signed to a music label is one thing. But when you have Ludacris, Zakk Wylde, and Chad Kroeger featured on your first single, on the other hand, you've officially 'made it.' So congratulations My Darkest Days, you're on top of the world.

What's next on the agenda? A music video with 30 some-odd strippers out in Vegas? These guys are sharp. Real sharp. No wonder they're signed. We dare you not to check out our behind the scenes.

Somewhat safe for work but not the missus.

Hope Consulting: Strategies for Social Change

While most of my philanthropic efforts consist of giving some loose change to the dude on the corner with the "Why lie? I need booze" sign, there are those looking to make a much stronger and effective social impact with their donations. But how do you know for sure which charity is the right fit? That's where Hope Consulting comes in, providing clients with the proper research, planning, and strategies to make each one of their dollars count.

Mr. Splashy Pants or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Social Media

I'm not going to lie, the internet is a strange beast. However, Alexis Ohnaian, the co-founder of Reddit, has some clues to help you take advantage of all the tools out there, especially social media. Check out his talk on how Reddit inadvertently transformed Greenpeace's internet poll into a popular internet meme that got people all over the internet excited about saving Mr. Splashy Pants. So get your message out there because hey, you never know.

Fun Story of the Day

You would think OJ Simpson would have learned his lesson after he was found innocent of double murder charges, in what many called the ‘trial of the century’, back in 1995. But no, when he was convicted of multiple felonies in 2008, he DID NOT wear the luckiest suit on earth.

OJ and the suit on the day he was acquitted. Rumor has it his
book, If I Did It, was originally dedicated to this very suit. And
yes, OJ's book is really entitled If I Did It.

Now we find out it he didn’t even have it to begin with because the suit was stuck in a suit of his own! (Look out folks, the puns are a comin’) A 13 year old lawsuit, filed by Ron Goldman’s father against Simpson and his sports agent over the beige wonder, finally ended last week when all parties agreed to donate it to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

But of course no one told the Smithsonian... Awkward.

Naturally the institution didn’t see the historical value: Rejected! So I guess those 13 years were well spent. Even crazier: this suit was part of the memorabilia that Simpson was trying to steal back in 2007 when he got arrested.

Chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side

The 5th iteration of Ant Boogie's highly successful dance party, Look Who Came to Dance, was held at one of the hottest spots in NYC's infamous meatpacking district earlier this month and had to be one of the better parties I've been to so far this year. Now if you haven't experienced a LWCD party before, I will tell you that unless you're dance repertoire extends beyond the Harlem shake, it can be a little intimidating. Luckily there are people who work behind the bar that can help. Filled with about 45 dollars worth of liquid courage, I busted out the toe wop, the chicken wing, and even a bit of the robot. The place was roaring! I was tearing up the dance floor so hard I could even hear Queen Latifah cheering me on!

Then I was told to put my shirt back on. It really helps that everyone's there just to have a good time.

Check out these Basterds

If you haven't seen Quentin Tarantino's latest film Inglorious Basterds, I hope you have a darn good reason. The Oscar nominated film, with a tremendous performance by Christoph 'that's a bingo' Waltz, is easily Tarantino's best film since Pulp Fiction. With that PSA out of the way... Tarantino and co. teamed up with some of today's freshest artists to create new/lost poster art for the film and to help raise money for victims of the Haiti earthquake in an gallery exhibition held last Thursday. Here are some of FMG's favorites. Check out the rest here.

Removing the Old while adding some Spice

I like Old Spice and I bet I’m not the only one, but it’s a well documented fact that it smells like Dad. Unfortunately Dad doesn't usually personify sexy, and if you know me, I need all the sexy I can get. Good thing Old Spice noticed and with its latest commercial, is working on bringing sexy back to the 70+ year old fragrance.

Enjoy, but no need to be jealous because hey, at least he’s not on a horse.

Aww crap.

Avatar > Blue Man Group

Apparently after just six short weeks, Avatar has knocked off everyone’s favorite Mid Atlantic tragedy, Titanic, to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, and looks to have the elusive 2 billion mark in its sights. I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there are some crazy diehard fans of Pandora out there. Crazy enough to hate on humanity, become depressed and possibly even suicidal. Yes, that’s right. Watching Pandora in 3D is so thrilling, people have actually contemplated death. Well we at FMG aren’t about that at all; in fact we’re here to spread love. So for all you Avatar addicts, we've found an instructional that can hopefully help you become more in tune with your Na’vi brothers and sisters while maintaining your physical health…in just 10 seconds!

Any similarities to actual Avatar enthusiasts are purely coincidental…we hope.

HP x Windows 7

There are only two ways to become the fastest selling OS in history. Either be released after a complete disaster (re: Vista) or be one tremendous operating system. Fortunately for Microsoft, it seems that Windows 7 has done both. With the OS release at the end of October, HP worked with Microsoft to introduce a new line of Windows 7 optimized systems and launched weeklong giveaway contests in electronic stores all over New York. And from what we could tell, nothing makes people happier than free laptops and printers.

Well other than free ice cream.
